Capoeira Community Connection (Sept-Dec 2024)

Capoeira Community Connection is a project that offers first-timers a chance to learn the basics of capoeira, and to play within a community.
We have held four rodas at the Post Bar in Tottenham High Road, and held our end-of-project event. All rodas drew a crowd of new-comers and regulars, and were led by invited teachers and special guests.
Thank you to Sport England for sponsoring this project and providing the chance for the capoeira community to connect over four months.
Bernie Grant Arts Centre Summer Camp (Aug 2024)
Agogo Arts CIC led a week-long Summer Camp for children aged 7-11. The children learned the history of capoeira, trained moves and music, wrote reflections and drew pictures.
At the end of the week there was a performance in the Bernie Grant Arts Centre.
